- First, I had to decide what to actually put in the presentation \. Since my project used a bunch of different technology, I split into three parts: software, hardware, and online tools. I also wanted to talk about some of the problems I ran into and how I fixed them, so it. wasn't just a list of stuff I used.
Step 2: Making the Slides
- I wanted my slides to look good but not be too complicated. I used PowerPoint to make them because it has nice templates that made things easier. I kept the words short so I wouldn't just read off the screen and added a few pictures, like a camera, and an editing timeline, to make it more interesting.
Step 3: Writing What I Was Gonna Say
- I didn't want to just stand up there and freeze, so I wrote a little script to help me out. I made sure it sounded natural like how I actually talk so it wouldn't be too boring. I also added some stuff about my own experience, like the struggles I had with editing and shaky footage, to make it more real.
Step 4: Practicing So I Didn't Mess up
- Once my slides and script were ready, I practiced a few times. The first couple of times, I kept messing up or forgetting what to say, but after a few tries, it got easier. I also timed myself so I wouldn't talk too fast or take forever to finish.
Honestly, making this presentation helped me realize how much I actually learned during the film project. At first, I didn't think about how much tech was involved, but after breaking it all down, I saw how important it was. Overall, I think my presentation turned out pretty good, and I hope my classmates like it too.
If I could do it again, I'd probably try to add some video clips or a live demo instead of just using slides. but for my first try, I think it went alright.
