How My Production skills developed throughout this project
When I started this project, I had basic understanding of filmmaking, but throughout the process, I learned a lot about planning, filming, and editing. Each step of making the opening scene helped me improve different production skills.
In the beginning, pre-production was all about getting organized- writing the script, making a shot list, and figuring out costumes and props. I realized how important it is to plan everything out before filming. Storyboarding really helped me picture how I wanted the scenes to look, and I also learned some cool filming techniques by doing research.
During filming, I got better at using the camera, framing shots, and playing around with different angles to make scenes look more interesting. I also figured out that lighting is a big deal some shots didn't turn out how I expected, but after messing around with different lighting setups, I saw how much it can change the mood of a scene.
Editing was probably where I improved the most. Cutting scenes together, adding sound effects, and using transitions made everything look smoother. At first, editing was super frustrating, but after practicing, it got easier, and I actually had fun with it.
